Moneda de 5 Euros ganadora del concurso dirigido por el Ministerio de Finanzas Holandés “Netherlands and Architecture”.
New 5 Euro coin, winner of the Dutch Ministery of Finance’s competition “Netherlands and Architecture”.
El ganador, arquitecto y artista Stani Michiels: “Me aproxime al tema ‘Netherlands y Arquitectura’ desde dos puntos de vista; por un lado le hice un tributo a la rica historia arquitectonica holandesa y por el otro lado a la calidad de la arquitectura que existe actualmente. Estas forman los dos lados de mi moneda. Tradicionalmente en un lado se debe retratar a la reina, mientras que en el otro se muestra el valor.
The Winner, artist and architect Stani Michiels: “I approached the subject ‘Netherlands and Architecture’ from two points of view, on one hand I paid tribute to the rich Dutch architecture history and on the other hand to the contemporary quality of Dutch architecture. These form also the two sides of my coin. Traditionally the front of the coin needs to portray the queen, while the back side displays the value of the coin.”
