This is an idea by Joshua Distler which I thought was fantastic. He proposes to make a compact disc labeling concept, where each waveform accurately depicts a complete song in a 1-inch square. For now, I could only find Bjork’s album “Post” as an example, but I’m sure that everyone that’s familiar with these songs will agree on how fasinating and well donde this idea is.

    hola amigo

this is a very clever idea of a cd cover, although i would use this as an index in the back and put a normal “cd cover” in the front

    thank you for sharing
    saludos

I like it graphically, I am a huge fan of data visualization, but to be honest I fail to see what benefits this idea has besides the cute look. The waveforms itself say nothing about the song. Imagine having a couple of those CDs stacked somewhere – good luck finding the CD you are really looking for.
As a labeling system this doesn’t make much sense, I am afraid.
