    interesting idea, but theres a few problems. number one on that list is a wrapped cord gathering up heat inside your wall. its just not a good idea in general

    Maybe i`m just dumb, but if you take the trouble to install such sockets,
    why not installing normal ones in the right place?

    Nice concept, but as said, possible heating problem, though if properly designed, they would have a heat-sink of some kind :)
    Anyway, the only addition to the design in my opinion, is a switch to turn the power off at the wall. Only then could it be sold in Aus :)
