In my personal onion as the artist suggests the object above is symbolic of a love story. Here the Watering Can is a personification of a male whilst the Planting Pot personifies a female both bonded in a loveless or perhaps violent relationship. The artist has emphasized this by the defiant positioning of the Planting Pot and the way it is attached to the Watering Can. The pouring of the water into the Planting Pot can be read as an act of passionless conception as a last resort to revive this suffering relationship. It is quite easy to understand that the plant itself personifies a child whom is very close to its mother but is denied its father’s love, so gradually grows further from him.

Saludos!
