El Carmelit, metro de Haifa (Israel), fue contruido en 1959, tiene seis estaciones, transporta a más de dos mil personas al día y escala una colina de 1.8 kilómetros. Funciona igual que cualquier metro, pero de subida/bajada.

The system transports around 2,000 people along the track each day and is among the most unusual subway stations in the world.
